The Bale Phnom Penh Resort – Hotel & Resort Review

Unique  Elegance  Luxury Bale Phnom Penh Resort

An Asian architecture and design and gourmet cuisine. Bale Phnom Penh Resort, in a courtyard suite by the Mekong River which was close to the city. It is fairly well-hidden between the houses on the main road and the river. A small sign on the road indicating where to go. As I entered the resort, all my cares evaporated as I took in the intense tranquility that permeates this place.

I was in regular communication with the hotel staff. They helped me to plan every detail of my stay even before my arrival. They ensured everything was booked to my exact request still offering considerate recommendations along the way.

Accommodation at the Bale Phnom Penh Resort:

The accommodation was exceptionally designed, with both space and comfort in mind. There are a mere eighteen rooms in the entire resort. Enhancing the sense of intimate privacy after my exhaustive stays in other parts of the country. The grounds included large, spacious grassy areas, a spacious swimming pool, and a top-tier restaurant. The windows of the restaurant look right out at the swimming pool and let in ample sunlight, for an overall ambiance of serene relaxation. The room itself was spacious. The supreme aura of relaxation extending to the bathroom and shower area. Yoga mats are provided too! Also, there is a back garden behind the room which is perfect for tranquil meditation. At night there are candles on the garden wall which produce an intoxicating effect.

Food:

The on-site restaurant is excellent. The menu was somewhat limited if one plans to stay for three days or more. Lunch and dinner feature similar offerings, although breakfast offers a variety of a la carte items on the menu from which you can order what you love. When poolside, a snack menu is also available.

I was lost in the time enjoying all the mesmerizing scenery and delicious food on offer—a true glimpse of nirvana for the weary traveler.

Services at the Bale Phnom Penh Resort :

It appears that the resort only just opened a few months ago, as many of the tuk-tuk drivers are still unaware of where it is and signs pointing the way to the resort is limited. To get into Phnom Penh, it is best to book the hotel car for drop-off or book a tuk-tuk in advance so that it is assured the driver will know where you are headed. It is also recommended to get a feel for the area by noting various landmarks in the city that can then orient where you are on the return.

Although it appears very much off the beaten path, this only seems to add to the resort’s overall charm and presence. Whenever I needed anything, and even when I didn’t, they were always there to check up on me and ensure that everything in my stay was running smoothly—I couldn’t ask for better service.

Overall:

This resort is highly recommended when visiting Phnom Penh. It is so much more relaxing than staying in a standard urban or business location. Complimentary dinner is offered by the restaurant on the final night if you stay for a certain number of nights.
