Maldives: A Tropical Vacation in the Indian Ocean

Just came back from a short but super beautiful vacation in the Maldives. I haven’t found the time to look through all the vacation pictures yet. Nonetheless, I decided to upload a few of them, just to show you what we’ve been up to in paradise.

Quick Intro: Maldives

The Maldives is a tropical nation in the Indian Ocean. Known for its beaches, blue lagoons, and extensive reefs, it is composed of 26 ring-shaped atolls. These are made up of more than 1,000 coral islands. The capital, Malé, has a busy fish market, restaurants, and shops on the main road, Majeedhee Magu, and 17th-century Hukuru Miskiy (also known as Friday Mosque) made of carved white coral. A Maldives vacation is worth every cent spent on.

My recent Maldives Vacation

In today’s post, I want to share with you more about my 5 days on the Maldives. The beauty of the island at Velasssaru Resort was overwhelming.

The crystal clear water, the wild palm trees, and the stylish bungalows.

As I love photography so much, I bought a drone before my flight and couldn’t wait to take some pictures from new perspectives.

My highlights were seeing the beautiful fish under water; eating the exotic fruits; waking up early to see the sunset from my ocean villa and watching open-air movies during sunset.

Even though I only had 5 days, I tried to capture as much as possible to give you an idea about this heaven on earth.

Looking back I can’t believe how much I have seen and experienced in only 5 days!
